Free and accessible medicines.
The Department of Health – CALABARZON on Monday, August 2, launched the first Botika ng Bayan (BnB) in the province of Cavite, making medicines accessible to the public.
According to Regional Director Eduardo C. Janairo, the provided pharmacies will make medicines accessible to those who seek a cure or first aid.
“The medicine here is free. All you need to do is present your receipt,” Janairo stated in Tagalog during the opening of the BnB.
He urged the public to make sure that the pharmacies are well taken care of to make sure that the medicines are readily available.

“We are also planning to collaborate with other private pharmacy stores located in far-flung areas of the region so that we can provide our patients, especially those with maintenance medicines, the needed drugs for their medication,” he said.
DOH assured the residents that they are doing their best to speed things up in providing accessible cure to the public through the collaboration. Janairo believes that this could also help in preventing the shortage of medicines.
The new Botika Ng Bayan will be the third BnB in the region, with the first two previously launched in municipality of Sta. Maria in Laguna and in Mauban, Quezon.
