A low pressure area was spotted off Mindanao, outside the Philippine area of responsibility, the weather bureau said Thursday morning, May 26.
According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), as of 3:00 AM, the LPA was spotted 365 kilometers southeast of General Santos City.
Pagasa weather specialist Benison Estareja in an early morning forecast said the weather disturbance has a low chance of intensifying into a storm. It may possibly dissolve in the next one to two days.
Moreover, the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) will bring cloudy skies and scattered rain showers in Davao region.
