Couple in England hit £184M (almost 12 Billion) lottery jackpot

Joe and Jess Thwaite from Gloucester were able to guess the winning combination for 10th May which was 3, 25, 27, 28 and 29, with Lucky Stars 4 and 9. They won a total prize of £184,262,899 or almost P12 Billion.

In a press conference, the lucky winners shared how they reacted when they first learned about the life-changing news.

“It was amazing but also surreal,” said Joe. “I looked at the amount. I put the phone down and I picked the phone up again and I looked at the amount again!”

Meanwhile, Jess said they will share their winnings with their family.

“This is an amazing thing that’s happened to us, and this means it’s an amazing thing that’s happened to our family and we want to share that with them,” she said.

“Even though it’s wonderful and exciting, it’s also a massive relief for everybody that’s been struggling with all their bills. We’re like every normal family… So it’s just a huge relief,” she added.

Family is also the reason why the Thwaite’s decided to reveal their identity.
