COVID-19 positive individuals who were quarantined and isolated on Election Day 2022 will no longer be allowed to vote.
Contrary to Comelec Commissioner George Garcia's statement on Thursday that Covid-positive patients will be allowed to vote in isolated polling precincts and outside of quarantine areas, Atty. Elaiza David, director of the Election and Barangay Affairs Department of the Comelec, said Covid patients who were quarantined and isolated on Election Day 2022 will no longer be allowed to vote.
She made the announcement on Friday, April 29.
As of now almost 300 COVID-19 patients are now in the quarantine isolation areas.
