Comelec announced Thursday that COVID-19 positive voters can still vote.
The Commission on Elections (Comelec) announced Thursday that Covid-19 positive voters can still vote in the May 9 elections, despite the health department's recommendation.
Comelec Commissioner George Garcia said patients with the disease are allowed to vote in isolated polling precincts and outside of quarantine areas.
Hindi namin sila pauuwiin," he added.
The poll body recently presented its own isolation polling places, which were reserved for people with Covid-19 symptoms.
