MOE in Singapore announced that the ASEAN Scholarship program is now open to youth from the Philippines and other Asian countries.
The Ministry of Education in Singapore announced that the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Scholarship program is now open to youth from the Philippines and other Asian countries.
The qualified students will be given the opportunity to study for free in Singapore where their leadership skills, communication and other life skills will be developed.
They can also enhance the development of goodwill and understanding between young people from various nations and Singapore.
The following young Filipinos can apply and be eligible for the scholarship:

Born on 2 Jan 2006 to 1 Jan 2009

Currently in Grade 9 or above
-
Proficient in English
-
Have done consistently well in school examinations
-
Have a good record of participation in Co-curricular activities
According to the Singapore Government Agency Website, the scholarship is valid for 4 years from Secondary 3 to Pre-University 2, leading to the Singapore-Cambridge GCE A-Level certificate or similar qualification and also they can be renewed each year based on the scholar’s performance in school.
The benefit of the scholarship covers MOE.

Annual allowance with hostel accommodation.

Settling-in allowance.

Return economy airfare.

School fees.
-
Examination fees for GCE O-Level and A-Level (once only, as applicable).

Subsidised medical benefits and insurance cover for accidents.
They will be informed at least one week ahead of time that they would be required to attend a selection test and interview in Manila, and they will have until May 13, 2022 to apply.
