The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) issued a statement regarding the implementation of the new “window hour scheme” on provincial buses in the National Capital Region, which disappointed many passengers.
With the window hour scheme, bus operators on provincial buses will have limited operational hours from 10pm to 5am, according to LTFRB.
The agency clarified this after receiving respective complaints about the volume of passengers stranded on the first day of its implementation.
According to the LTFRB, this does not mean that provincial buses will only operate every night.
The agency explained that passengers can only use the private terminals from 10 pm to 5 am but when the deadlines exceed, they have to go to the terminals where there are city buses such as PITX, NLEX. and SRIT.
The LTFRB has also been granted a permit to operate for provincial buses to deliver passengers at any time of need.
