A Low Pressure Area near Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur will bring scattered rains and thunderstorms over Visayas and Mindanao on Tuesday, April 5.
According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) in its 4:00 AM bulletin, the LPA was located 320 kilometers east of Hinatuan (8.0°N, 129.2°E).
PAGASA said the weather disturbance is embedded along the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ).
Moreover, the shear line will bring scattered rain and thunderstorms over Southern Luzon today, with chances of floods and landslides.
Moderate to at times heavy rains will also be felt in the rest of Luzon, especially Metro Manila, Cagayan Valley, Calabarzon, Aurora, and Bulacan due to the northeasterly surface windflow.
