Organizers of presidential aspirant Bongbong Marcos' grand rally in Marikina have been called out after one of their performers performed a poem without permission from its writer.
According to a post by Aron Saturno, the poem performed by a youth group at the rally was entitled "Mensahe Mula Sa Bata" and it was written by Kenma.
As shown in the conversation of Saturno and Kenma, “not even a single note” was sent to the writer ahead of the event.
“We all know that copying or performing a piece without acknowledgement or note to the one who wrote it is a form of STEALING, it is a type of intellectual theft. The original writer finds this manner very disrespectful,” Saturno emphasized.
Saturno went on to say that Kenma was upset at the way his poem, which is an entry for Museo De Filipino, was delivered.

Moreover, Saturno encouraged the organizers “to issue a correction and apologize to Kenma for this matter” otherwise, they will seek appropriate remedies.
