The Commission on Elections (Comelec) reminded candidates that they are not exempted from securing permits from local government units for their political events.
Comelec Commissioner George Erwin Garcia reiterated that candidates still need permits from the Comelec Campaign Committee for their activities in areas under Alert level 1 and 2.
Garcia also clarified that the events and other gatherings are only allowed to those areas under Alert level 1 and level 2.
This decision of the commission also has private and safe protocols and not exceeding the boundaries of each private life.
