The Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) has approved the shift in the policy of classifying 47 and other areas to Alert Level 1 starting March 16-31.
Under the alert level status, restrictions in terms of indoor and outdoor capacities are limited. Intrazonal and interzonal travel are now allowed for all ages, and even for peiople comorbidities.
“Masusi at dahan-dahan nating binubuksan ang ekonomiya kaalinsabay sa pagpapabilis ng pagbabakuna sa ating mga kababayan," Deputy Presidential Spokesperson and Communications Undersecretary Michel Kristian Ablan said in a statement.
"Nandiyan pa rin po ang ating IATF and they are constantly monitoring the situation," he added.
Metro Manila mayors have previously expressed readiness and willingness to implement Alert Level 0 in the area had the IATF orders it.
Health secretary Francisco Duque III also said that the government’s pandemic managers will discuss the guidelines for a possible Alert Level 0.
