Senior college students have their fair share of struggles in times of the pandemic.
Some of them have to conduct their on-the-job trainings at the comfort of their homes. Although it's safer, some still long for the once in a lifetime experience they've been looking forward to ever since they began their college journey. Some even worry that their credibility may be questioned in the future— destiny forbid.
I personally know some people from a university in Cavite who are currently rendering works from home as a part of their internship. They said their university won't still opt for a face-to-face internship despite the downgraded alert level status in the area.
One of them, Ms. Dellomas, a BS Education student, said online internship is challenging specially to her program. She thinks being a student teacher would've been more effective if she's interacting with students in person.
Meanwhile, for Ms. Longga, a BS Sports Science Management student, online internship is quite boring, but most especially, it limits the experience and knowledge she should've learned if it's done in person, in an actual field.
For some, working from home is a blessing. Who wouldn't want to be safe and to be with their loved ones. But maybe some of us are just fed up of the never ending work from home set ups at this point. Nonetheless, for sure there are ways to enjoy the online internship and learn more by doing it.
