Presidential aspirant labor leader Ka Leody De Guzman will attend the SMNI debate and face former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
“Tutuloy ako sa SMNI debates kahit tila dumadayo ako sa home court ni Marcos Jr.,” De Guzman said in a statement, Monday.
SMNI is the broadcasting arm of Kingdom of Jesus Christ church led by Pastor Apollo Quiboloy. He previously endorsed the campaigns of Marcos Jr. and his running mate, vice presidential aspirant Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte.
Four presidential candidates, Vice President Leni Robredo, Senators Manny Pacquaio and Ping Lacson, and Mayor Isko Moreno, have earlier declined the invitation to join the presidential debates.
