“Hindi ko iboboto si Robin Padilla. Maawa kayo sa Pilipinas,” Guanzon wrote on Twitter.
Senatorial aspirant Robin Padilla on Thursday, February 3 was asked about his thoughts on the country’s drug war and extrajudicial killings. Padilla, who is a staunch supporter of President Rodrigo Duterte, said the killings are part of it and claimed that Andres Bonifacio was the first ever victim of EJK.
“Kasama talaga ‘yan. Kasama na ‘yan,” said Padilla.
On Saturday, Feb. 5, former Commission on Elections Commissioner Rowena Guanzon responded to Padilla’s statement and declared that she will not vote for the actor.
“Hindi ko iboboto si Robin Padilla. Maawa kayo sa Pilipinas,” Guanzon wrote on Twitter.
Padilla then took to Facebook to lambast the former Comelec commissioner for destroying the agency’s image.

The senatorial candidate also told Guanzon to verify their evidence that hero Andres Bonifacio was a victim of EJK.
The exchange didn’t end with Padilla’s remarks. On Sunday, Feb. 6, although she did not drop any name, Guanzon posted the following tweets.
Padilla is running for senator under the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino - Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) Cusi faction. He recently joined the Mahalin Natin ang Pilipinas Ride (MNPR) of vice presidential candidate Sara Duterte.
