Presidential bet Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. declined to take part in the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP) Presidential Candidates Forum set this Friday.
KBP President Herman Basbaño said Marcos’ camp turned down the invitation due to a conflict in their schedule. Six presidential candidates were invited to the forum; only Marcos declined.
Vice President Leni Robredo, Senator Panfilo Lacosn, Senator Manny Pacquiao, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno, and labor leader Leody de Guzman will be present in KBP’s forum.
“We respect the decision of whoever… That is true also for former Senator Bongbong Marcos. Kung hindi niya tinanggap, respetuhin natin ‘yan,” Basbaño said.
Marcos also declined to join the presidential interviews conducted by GMA News journalist Jessica Soho in January. Explaining their decision to skip the interview, Marcos’ camp claimed that Soho was biased against the Marcoses.
The KBP Presidential Candidates Forum will be aired live on February 4, Friday at 9 AM and will be simulcasted over 300 stations across the country.
