Presidential aspirant former Sen. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on Monday, January 24 put an end to the long talked about myth of Tallano gold as their family’s supposed source of wealth.
In an interview, Marcos Jr. laughed at the myth and maintained that he had never seen any gold like that in his life.
He even joked that people should inform him if they learn anything about the gold.
“Baka may alam sila, sabihan ako, kailangan ko yung gold. Wala pa akong nakikitang gold,” he added.
Urban legend has it that the Tallano family, who are royals, entrusted gold bars to the Marcos family.
In 2017, thousands of people flock to the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) on the promise that they would each receive P1 million or gold bars from the controversial Marcos wealth. Marcos Jr. called the event “A scam, pure and simple.”
