International fashion magazine, Vogue, will have a Philippine edition beginning September 2022, global media company Condé Nast announced.
Vogue Philippines is up to become the glossy’s 29th edition launching in print, digital, and social platforms starting this year, Condé Nast revealed. It will be published under agreement with MEGA Global Licensing Inc.
“We are a thrilled to launch our 29th edition of Vogue in the Philippines, a country with a growing luxury fashion market and a vibrant creative scene,” managing director of global brand licensing at Condé Nast Markus Grindel said in the announcement shared on social media by One Mega Group President Suki Salvador.
The Filipino edition of the magazine is seen to strengthen Vogue’s presence in Southeast Asia and become a platform to celebrate the Philippines’ culture, diversity, and fashion.
“It will launch simultaneously in print and online, with its print content focused on long form reads and artful storytelling,” the announcement read.
“Across all platforms, Vogue Philippines mission will be to marry the past with the future, street with couture, and the Philippines with the rest of the world, speaking to both a local and global audience,” it added.
Meanwhile, MEGA Global Licensing Inc. CEO Archie Carrasco also expressed his excitement on the arrival of Vogue Philippines.
“The Filipino talent has been ready to be received by the world for decades now and with certainty, I can say that the market, too, is finally ready. The two are meeting at the perfect juncture at the perfect time and the long wait is over,” Carrasco said.
Known for its fashion content, Vogue is an American month lifestyle magazine published in several parts of the globe including France, Germany, Australia, Latin America, the Middle East, and several parts of Asia.
