Private research and consultation group OCTA Research has proposed restricting public transportation for fully vaccinated individuals. This comes as the government eases restrictions and begins to increase passenger capacities.
OCTA fellow Dr. Guido David during a Laging Handa briefing cited Metro Manila’s already high vaccination coverage for the suggestion. He noted that 6% of the adult population in the area have already received at least one dose of Covid-19 vaccine while 80% have completed doses.

To recall, the Malacañang in August announced a similar plan but only once Metro Manila has reached “population protection.” This means that 50 percent of the population are already fully vaccinated.
