Ahead of “Undas”, Baguio City has reopened its borders to fully vaccinated leisure travelers.
On Tuesday, the Baguio City Public Information Office released the guidelines and requirements for fully vaccinated tourists (except those from ECQ, MECQ, Levels 4 and 5 areas).
The Summer Capital requires the following from individuals who wish to enter the city:
1. Baguio Visita Registration
Using your valid ID, register at visita.baguio.gov.ph. Take note that you need to schedule a visit at least a day before your trip. Only 2,000 individual registrations are currently being allowed, following an ETA reservation system.
2. Full Vaccination
Only fully vaccinated individuals (full vaccination means 2 weeks after 2nd/last dose) are allowed to enter Baguio. Unvaccinated or partially vaccinated people are not allowed.
Moreover, unvaccinated or partially vaccinated minors aged 12 to 17 must still present a negative Antigen or RT-PCR test result conducted within 72 hours prior to arrival or during health screening at the City Triage. Minors aged 11 and below shall be tested at the option of their accompanying parents or adult guardian, the City’s PIO noted.
3. City Triage
Lastly, tourists must proceed to the triage for health screening and verification of QTP and other needed documents.
“Symptomatic visitors, regardless of vaccination status or test result, will be immediately tested and isolated, and referred to health officials for further action and advice prior to visitor’s return to point of origin,” says Baguio PIO.
Furthermore, minimum health & safety protocols, such as wearing a mask and observing physical distance at all times, on top of the existing city laws (no littering, no smoking, vehicle number coding within CBD, and others) will be strictly implemented.
