For the second time around, cemeteries will be closed during Undas.
In light of the still looming threat of the Covid-19 pandemic in many areas of the Philippines, all cemeteries in the country will be closed from October 29 to November 2, 2021.
Interior Secretary Eduardo Año during a press briefing on Wednesday, Oct. 20 said the public could still visit their departed loved ones prior to or after the given dates.
Año added that only 10 persons per group are allowed as venues must only operate in a 30% capacity, unless the local government unit authorizes 50% capacity. The government's minimum public health standards will also be strictly implemented.
The policy also covers memorial parks and columbariums. It will be implemented by local government units, along with the Philippine National Police, barangay chiefs, public safety officers, and auxiliary units.
