The Professional Regulations Commission (PRC) on Tuesday, October 19 released the results of the Oct. 2021 Certified Public Accountant Licensure Examination (CPALE).
Of the 2,367 examinees, 361 passed the CPALE given by the Board of Accountancy in Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Rosales, San Fernando, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga this month.
The number of passers equate to 15.3 percent of the total examinees— higher compared to the previous CPALE conducted in 2019 wherein only 14.32 percent passed. However, the total number of examinees for this year is significantly lower than the 14,492 examinees in 2019.
Moreover, the PRC said there are no examinees who qualified as topnotchers and no schools qualified as “top performing schools” in the exams this year.
