TOKYO, Japan — North Korea has notified Japan of a plan..
Fully vaccinated travelers coming from “green lanes” can now skip facility-based quarantine upon their arrival in the Philippines, Malacañang said Wednesday, October 14.
“Upon arrival, no facility-based quarantine will be required but the passenger is enjoined to self-monitor for any symptoms until the 14th day,” Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said. He added travelers arriving in the Philippines must have a negative RT-PCR test result taken within 72 hours before their travel.
However, fully vaccinated Filipino travelers can still opt to undergo facility-based quarantine until they yield a negative RT-PCR test which will be taken upon their arrival.
Travelers who are unvaccinated, partially vaccinated, unverified vaccination status, and those who failed to comply with the “test-before-travel” policy must undergo facility-based quarantine until they yield a negative RT-PCR test taken on the fifth day upon arrival.
“In the case of foreign nationals, they shall be required to secure hotel reservations for at least six days,” Roque added.
To verify their vaccination status, travelers may present their VaxCertPH certificate, Bureau of Quarantine (BOQ)- or World Health Organization (WHO)-issued international certificate of vaccination or prophylaxis (ICV), or national digital certificate from the country where they are vaccinated.
