The national pandemic task force decided to ease the Alert Level status of Metro Manila.
Beginning October 16 to 31, the nation’s capital will be under Alert Level 3 from the current Alert Level 4.
With the downgrade, more establishments and facilities are allowed to re-open and operate at specified capacities. Among these are cinemas, theaters, theme parks, swimming pools, libraries, museums, and other tourist attractions, venues for social gatherings like weddings, parties, and debuts.
For indoor venues, up to 30% capacity is allowed, but exclusively for fully-vaccinated individuals. On the other hand, outdoor establishments can take up to 50% of its capacity.
Moreso, all employees of these places must also be fully-vaccinated.
Limited in-person classes for higher education and technical-vocational training are also allowed under this alert level.
