An official from the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) suggested wearing vaccination cards like office or school IDs when leaving the house to easily identify vaccinated individuals.
In a briefing, Interior Undersecretary Martin Diño said he will propose the idea to the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) as an additional health protocol.
“Ito na sana ang maging sakripisyo ng bawat Pilipinong nabakunahan. Kung ikaw ay bakunado na, paglabas mo ng bahay isuot mo na iyong vaccination card,” Diño said, adding that this will make it easier for local officers to identify vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals.
The suggestion would also benefit restaurants so they would not need to ask about the vaccination status of their customers, Diño noted.
Metro Manila is currently under the pilot testing of the new alert level lockdown system. Cities in the capital region are under Alert Level 4 with granular lockdowns in place.
Under the alert status, indoor dine-in services and personal care services are allowed to operate at 10 percent capacity but only for the fully vaccinated.
