Senator Antonio Trillanes IV on Thursday, September 23 called on Vice President Leni Robredo to decide immediately whether she’ll run for president or not.
According to Trillanes, Sen. Manny Pacquiao and Mayor Isko Moreno’s candidacy pushed back the "unity talks" the VP had been pushing. Trillanes also revealed that it was always their plan to run for the country’s highest elective post and that they are not “true opposition.”
Trillanes in the lengthy message also said that the opposition would unite to support VP Leni if she decided to eye for the presidency. They are also ready if she would opt not to, says the senator.
So far, three personalities have officially launched their candidacy campaign for president: Sen. Panfilo “Ping” Lacson, Sen. Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao, and Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso.
