Vice President Leni Robredo calls out to the national government that they should conduct free COVID-19 testing in areas with high COVID-19 reported cases.
According to the Department of Health, the current positivity rate dropped from 26.7% based on tests reported on September 15 to 26% based on 73,635 tests reported on September 16.

Last month, the Department of Health (DOH) released a circular providing a price cap for the RT-PCR in testing effective September 6. Public laboratories' price cap is P2,800 for plate-based and P2,450 for cartridge-based GeneXpert while Private laboratories should be at P3,360 for plate-based and P2,940 for GeneXpert and for Home service they should have an Additional P1,000 for plate-based and GeneXpert.
