PAGASA’s forecaster spotted a low pressure area (LPA) east of Catarman, Northern Samar and is expected to pour heavy rain over southern Luzon, Visayas and in Mindanao.
On Sunday morning, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) weather specialist Grace Castañeda reported that the Visayas, Bicol Region, Caraga, Northern Mindanao, Davao Region, SOCCSKSARGEN, and Quezon could experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms.
However, the weather forecaster Castañeda reiterated that while the LPA may bring scattered rains the weather disturbance has a low chance of turning into a storm.
She added that the rest of the country, including Metro Manila, will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorm.
