Forbes Magazine just released the latest list of 50 richest people in the Philippines.
SM’s Sy siblings remain to be the richest in the country with a collective net worth of $ 16.6 billion— $2.7 billion more this year.
Second on the list is 71-year-old former senator Manuel Villar whose wealth rose by $1.7 billion to $6.7 billion. He is the country's richest individual.
Villar was followed by Ports and casino tycoon Enrique Razon Jr. who managed to increase his net worth by $1.5 billion to $5.8 billion after acquiring the Manila Water Co. Inc. from the Zobel clan.
On the fourth and fifth spot are Lance Gokongwei and his sibling and Jaime Zobel de Ayala respectively. Gokongwei and his siblings have a net worth of $4 billion Zobel de Ayala has $3.3 billion.
