Priest and social media personality Fr. Fiel Pareja was left out of words over a photo of politicians appearing on a tarpaulin meant to celebrate The Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

“Again, why?” he added in a separate tweet.

The tarp in question showed four Malabon officials all wearing uniform polo shirts and flashing a common hand sign. The Blessed Virgin Mary’s photos, on the other hand, were faded behind the text greeting, almost blending with the background.
Below the tarp were the names of Councilor Enzo Oreta, Mayor Lenlen Oreta, Congressman Jaye Lacson-Noel, and Vice Mayor Ninong dela Cruz.
Netizens react
Fr. Fiel’s tweet has since gone viral. “Mama Mary” even trended on Twitter Philippines.
