A day before her term ends, Vice President Leni Robredo..
Vice President Leni Robredo made it clear that she is not interested in vying for a senatorial seat in the 2022 elections.
In an interview with ANC on Monday, September 6, Robredo said that being a senator is “not my strength” noting that she is considering running for a local position, if not for the presidency.
"I can run for a local position, I can retire, I can just help the next administration if I don’t run for president," Robredo said.
The vice president is yet to announce her plans for the 2022 national elections but has previously noted that she is open to running for the chief executive position.

“So much is at stake in the 2022 elections and I still firmly believe that we need to talk beyond our usual circles,” the vice president said.
