Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett will perform together for two nights in New York's Radio City Music Hall next month, in what is expected to be their final performance together.
In case you missed it, Lady Gaga revealed on Twitter last Monday that the longtime friends and colleagues will conduct a two-night concert titled "One Last Time: An Evening With Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga" on August 3 and 5 to commemorate Tony Bennett's 95th birthday.
"I am very honored and happy to celebrate Tony's 95th birthday with him at these special events," Gaga wrote on Instagram.
The Tony Bennett Quartet, the Brian Newman Quintet, and an orchestra led by Michael Bearden will perform song versions from the Great American Songbook of standards.
According to a press statement promoting the event, the Radio City concerts will be Bennett's final New York City performances of his career, "placed appropriately at a venue where Tony has enjoyed a multi-decade run of sold-out engagements."
This year, the two musicians are set to release a new record.
Furthermore, all attendees above the age of 16 must be properly vaccinated against Covid-19. There will be no telephones, cameras, or recording devices allowed
