When it's cold, it's much preferable to stay inside— feet..
As per PVL director Ricky Palou and League Commissioner Tony Boy Liao, season protocols strictly restricted physical contact, court changes, and showers after the match.
“The teams have their equipment and water, so if an infected person switches sides, everyone will be affected,” Ricky stated. “They understand, and in fact, they welcome it at this point of time for safety precautionary measures.”
During the ten-minute warm-up and introduction of the players, they are mandated to wear face masks and can only be taken off once the game begins.
After a game, players are only authorized to change clothes without showers and must head and leave so that the two upcoming teams can go into the venue.
Liao also mentioned that according to LGU, 100 maximum individuals are allowed inside the venue at a given time. If the following participants of the match come early, they must stay and wait on the bus.
Palou verbalized that they are happy but worried at the same time due to the threat of the virus.
“We have mixed feelings here,” Palou said regarding the league’s restart overall. “We’re happy that finally, we can start, but at the same time, we’re kind of worried.”
The 2021 PVL Open Conference will be held on Saturday, July 17 until August 20, at the PCV Socio-Civic and Cultural Center in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte.
