Adobo is already different
Philippine Adobo is already unique, it already differs from other dishes around the world. What else does our government want to prove? Adobo is the national dish of the Philippines for a reason.
The uniqueness of Adobo can be found in how Filipinos put twist on the dish, and now the government wants to establish a standard way to cook it?
Isn’t standardizing a way to cook Adobo just merely convinces Filipinos that we do not own the dish?
For a while now, foreigners have been trying to imitate how we cook Adobo, and in that sense, that’s already satisfying.
One thing that the government has to realize is that we don’t have to establish a standardized way to cook Adobo. What's the use of it anyway? We all have different ways to impress people with the dish.
