The feud between Dubai-based fashion designer Michael Cinco and Miss Universe Canada comes to an end after Miss Canada Nova Stevens apologized to Cinco on her social media page.
Miss Universe Canada 2020 Nova Stevens' pageant team and Dubai-based Filipino fashion designer Michael Cinco has finally settled for peace, after Nova wrote an apology to Michael on her Instagram to hopefully end the "ego battle."
Stevens wrote a long letter of apology, accompanied with gratitude to the fashion designer after everything went downhill, because of what the beauty queen's publicist MGmode or Miguel Martinez, had said.
What really happened
Miss Universe Canada 2020 Nova Stevens was a strong frontrunner in the recent Miss Universe pageant, however, many fans were still in shock when the Canadian representative didn't make it to the Top 21. Her finals gown, created by lauded Dubai-based Filipino fashion designer Michael Cinco, sadly did not make its appearance to the stage.
Earlier this week, a dispute between Michael and Miss Canada has sparked, when Nova's publicist, MGmode claimed that Cinco 'sabotaged' Miss Canada, saying that the gown for the beauty queen arrived late and did not fit Nova.
In a comment to Michael's post, MGmode wrote the 'truth.'
"The truth need to be told! The gown was sent late by Michael's team, and when it arrived none of them fitted! We were able to fixed the one for the finals but the one for the prelims we didn't have time. We went to Dubai 2 times, to prevent such mistake since it happen to us as well with Argentina's gown last year @marianajvarela and Uruguay @fionatenutaranerio. Such a terrible mistake should not have [happened]!" MGmode wrote.
"We love Michael! But this was inexplicable. At the same time they had time to custom made a gown for another delegate who checked in with her custom made Michael Cinco gown. Things don't add up! Sadly!"
Michael replied to the comment in defense when his team was blamed for the unfortunate happening.
He started, saying he doesn't usually respond to unnecessary social media posts, however, Martinez's post caught his eye as it seemed to put blame on his team.

The Miss Universe Canada (MUC) organization on Tuesday extended its apology to Cinco and fellow Filipino designer Rian Fernandez for the controversies that arose.
"We strive to ensure our designer partners such as Michael Cinco and Rian Fernandez are always aware of our gratitude for their tremendous support," the organization wrote.
"However, based on recent online statements others believe that we as an organization are not doing as well as we thought. We will strive to do better going forward. We thank and appreciate our designer partners tremendously for their ongoing support," they went on.
"We specifically want to apologize to Michael Cinco and Rian Fernandez for any damage these recent incidents have caused to them or their brand."
