You asked for it, and now it’s here! Lorde really has..
Who’s ready and excited to see some zombie action and a zombie tiger? ‘Army of the Dead’ is slated to be released on Netflix this May 21.
Did somebody say zombies?
A new horror-action zombie flick is coming your way, and it’s made by none other than the one and only Zack Snyder!
Zack Snyder is here to take the audience to a never-seen-before zombie world. Known for his hit films ‘Man of Steel’ (2013), and the latest ‘Zack Snyder’s Justice League’ (2021), hopes are high in this new Snyder-flavored zombie flick.
Army of the Dead
The film, ‘Army of the Dead’ is directed by Zack Snyder who also spearheaded the 2004 zombie flick ‘Dawn of the Dead,’ which is a readaptation of the 1978 sequel to the remarkable ‘Night of the Living Dead.’
The film follows ex-zombie war hero Scott Ward, played by Dave Bautista, who serves as the leader of a highly skilled zombie-fighting team to retrieve $200 million dollars somewhere in zombie-infested Las Vegas.
You can say they’re somewhat like the Suicide Squad, but with zombies. With a plan comes the ticking clock as the city is getting nuked in 32 hours.
Will Scott and his team succeed?
What to expect in ‘Army of the Dead’
Judging from the movie trailer released by Netflix, there are THREE things you can definitely look forward to in this upcoming zombie flick: 1) lots of blood— like, a lot of it— (of course) and face-melting action, 2) a zombie tiger that goes by the name of Valentine, and; 3) a zombie Elvis!
The film stars prominent actors, as well. Joining Dave Bautista are Theo Rossi, Ana De La Reguera, Ella Purnell, Omari Hardwick, Huma Qureshi, Tig Notaro, Hiroyuki Sanada, Matthias Schweighöfer, Garret Dillahunt, Raúl Castillo, Samantha Win, and Nora Arnezeder.
