A fashion design student at Central Luzon State University in Nueva Ecija will showcase his talent in the international scene after he was chosen to design an attire for a Miss Universe candidate.
Kennedy John T. Gasper will design Miss Cameroon’s national costume for the pageant on May 16, 2021.
On Facebook, CLSU’s Department of Textile and Garment Technology congratulated Gasper and expressed their warmest support.
“At the age of 20, he has proven himself as an outstanding student and fashion designer,” the post read.
“He has given extra effort in his studies whilst grabbing sidelines in making costumes, gowns, and participating [in] contests. Truly a CLSU PRIDE!” it added.

Update on the costume
In a post on Sunday, May 2, Gasper said that the costume has already been transported to Hong Kong where it will be double checked before shipping it to the United States where the pageant will take place.
“Let’s pray na maka-abot ang costume before may 7. Sana walang aberya, walang masira or walang problema,” Gasper wrote.
