Baguio City on Tuesday announced changes in entry protocols for travelers. One of the highlights is the scrapping of testing and travel authority requirements.
The update came after the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) issued Resolution No. 101 which states that Covid-19 testing for travelers is not mandatory, unless the LGU will make it a requirement.
Specifically for tourists, only a valid government issued ID and registration at Baguio Visita website is required. Upon arrival to the city, the requirement to undergo triage remains. Tourists are assigned at Triage 2 located at the CentralTriage Unit at the Baguio Convention Center.
Moreover, travelers who are symptomatic at triage shall undergo RT-PCR testing and will be quarantined pending results. Nevertheless, mandatory quarantine is NOT required except for symptomatic travelers.
Strict compliance to minimum public health standards is still required all over the city.

As of March 2, Baguio still has 246 active cases out of 5,720 total cases. The city is currently conducting a Vaccination Masterlisting in preparation for the arrival of Covid-19 vaccine doses in the city.
