University of the Philippines Diliman will reopen their academic oval on February 5, 2021.
Joggers residing in Quezon mostly prefer to jog on the Academic Oval at the University of the Philippines Diliman. The 2.2-kilometer-wide road with a canopy of trees will temporarily close the oval due to the rising cases of COVID-19 and the threat of new COVID-19 variants. UP announced the temporary closure that will start on January 23 until February 4.
Due to the lockdown caused by the pandemic, the University of the Philippines - Diliman reopened the Academic Oval last November 2020 for those who love to de-stress and exercise. Face masks and face shields are required when entering the campus. A maximum of 10 people per group will only be only allowed to enter the premises. While individuals below 15 years old and over 65 will also not be allowed to enter.
After the temporary closure, the Academic Oval schedule will be from 5 AM to 9 AM and 4 PM to 8 PM.
