Eligible voters registering for the 2022 elections may now submit their applications online through Commission on Election’s (Comelec) iRehistro website.
The website accepts applications for new voter registration, transfer and reactivation of registration record, change of name and correction of entries in record. It also accepts applications for the inclusion of records in the book of voters and reinstatement of names in the list of voters.
Comelec, however, cleared that the website only attempts to facilitate the process of accomplishment of the application form. Completing the online form does not automatically make the applicant a registered voter.
“You still have to personally appear before your local COMELEC office (or the concerned Philippine embassy or consulate) together with the printed online application forms (3 copies) for QR scanning and biometrics capture to complete the filing process,” the website said.
“The Election Registration Board (ERB) still has to approve your application on the scheduled date for the next ERB hearing,” it added.
Online voter registration forms may be accessed at https://irehistro.comelec.gov.ph/cef1
The poll body resumed voter registration for the May 2022 elections last September 1.
