Twitter netizens slammed Queen Mother Karla Estrada over her statement about being responsible on social media posts as there are many “vultures” awaiting.
Estrada and the other two mamshies, Melai Cantiveros and Jolina Magdangal, were speaking with former child star Xyriel Manabat during the episode, which was uploaded in ABS Talk YouTube channel on October 14.
Manabat’s latest photos previously shocked netizens who didn’t expect that “Momay” is now a grown up.
“Be very careful din. Kasi syempre, kung ako mommy, ayokong paglaruan yung katawan ng aking mga anak,” Mamshie Karls said.
She went on sharing the advice she gave her children about being responsible on their social media posts.
“I tell them, kung ayaw nyo na mayroon silang — kasi kahit naman balot yan eh, basta’t kung gustong mambastos nung lalaki na yan di’ba — so sabi ko, kung gusto nyong mag-post, just be responsible also sa post nyo,” Estrada said.
“Wag ka ng mag-initiate ng parang, “oh ano,” diba yung ganon,” she added which many netizens did not agree about.
“No, Karla. Don't tell girls what to wear and what to post. Tell men not to sexualize girls,” netizen @rei_smasher said in a tweet.

Despite the many negative comments, other netizens defended Estrada, saying there’s nothing wrong with what she said.
“People are easily offended. I don’t see anything wrong with what Karla said. Napaka OA ‘nyo sa totoo lang. We have to be responsible with what we post on social media. Andun na tayo you can wear whatever the fck you want pero di ibig sabihin na kaya mo eh gagawin mo,” @letshavesomeSAM wrote.

karla estrada telling xyriel manabat to wear "proper" clothes and to be careful on posting on socmed is an example of how ignorant boomers are. i can't even imagine how xyriel felt at that moment. THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH HER CLOTHES!!! SHE WAS FUCKING WEARING A T-SHIRT!!! 🤦🏿♀️— mars (@maarrssmallow) October 15, 2020
First of, 'di naman nakaka-"oh, ano?" yung suot ni Xyriel—actually, that's not an issue, Mizz Karla. The issue is how you view the photo. You keep on saying that there are a lot of bastos na lalake, but I feel like you have a dirty mind as well. 🧐 lowkey victim blaming :// nyt https://t.co/cR4tY7QMRn— Sofia (@fianotphia) October 14, 2020

Its a patriarchal mindset, as SEXUAL HARASSERS should take the consequences of THEIR ACTIONS. Not women.
We have to raise young women to fight back, to not let society punish us for just using our rights. https://t.co/U13XEo2lX0
i feel bad for xyriel... imagine getting victim blamed on national television like this. this is not it, karla. https://t.co/r0Wjnkcnuk— Miss Julian 🤍 (@themissjulian) October 15, 2020
she can wear whatever the fuck she wants karla. teaching men about consent and how to respect women is the only solution to your problem, no more, no less. pic.twitter.com/0Cq6SjELqa— m (@mran____) October 14, 2020
Ahh yes, cause at the end of the day, women are responsible for what happens to them. Thank you for backing up the pervs, Karla! https://t.co/mRbJVWXQlk— Stranger (@jstranzhur) October 14, 2020
