Starting September 30, 12 modified bus routes in Region 3 and region 4A will reopen, the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) confirmed Saturday, September 26.
Memorandum Circular 2020-051 allows the resumption of operations of public utility buses (PUBs), provided that they have valid and existing Certificate of Public Convenience or Application for Extension of Validity.
According to LTFRB, the reopening of provincial bus routes entering Metro Manila will be implemented upon the approval of local government units and the Inter-Agency Task Force on the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF).
The following provincial bus routes will reopen this september 30:
San Fernando, Pampanga - Araneta Center, Cubao, Quezon City
Batangas City, Batangas - Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITx)
Lemery, Batangas - PITx
Lipa City, Batangas - PITx
Nasugbu, Batangas - PITx
Indang, Cavite - PITx
Mendez, Cavite - PITx
Tagaytay City, Cavite - PITx
Ternate, Cavite - PITx
Calamba City, Laguna - PITx
Siniloan, Laguna - PITx
Sta. Cruz, Laguna – PITx
According to LTFRB, passengers are required to have a travel pass. They are also instructed to buy tickets at least two days before their travel. Buying tickets on the same day of the trip is prohibited, except for emergency reasons.
Eating, drinking, talking, and taking calls are also not allowed inside the buses.
