In what better way is it to celebrate one’s birthday? Jae thinks it’s by raising awareness and supporting teens’ and young adults’ mental and emotional health.
Member of the Korean superband Day6, Jae, celebrated his 28th birthday last 15th of September by launching new merch, FROM FRIENDS.
FROM FRIENDS is not just any merch. The #FromFriendsWithJae clothing line is produced in collaboration with Represent- an official merchandise outlet maker and shop for celebrities to show their various advocacies- along with The Jed Foundation which is a non-profit organization that supports the mental and emotional health of teens and young adults.
Mental and emotional health is a very important aspect in individuals, which should be taken care of. Teens and young adults face mental and emotional health problems in this world and age of stigma, high expectations, and, standards.
Jae is no stranger to these difficulties especially as a celebrity, which has taken a toll on his mental health. He had been open with his issues since he and another member took a break from promoting together with Day6 for their recent comeback with the album The Book of Us: The Demon which was released on May 11, 2020.
He had mentioned that this project is probably the most important he has been involved with as he worked together with the foundation for the merch, and he couldn’t wait to show it to his fans.
The merch collection consists of different types of clothes. From t-shirts and hoodies to sweats, caps, and face masks, each product proudly showcases the label “FROM FRIENDS”
