The municipality of Sagada, Mountain Province announced its first case of COVID-19 on Sunday, August 9.
In an advisory, Sagada Mayor James Pooten Jr. said that a 29-year-old male frontliner with no travel history tested positive for the virus. The patient is now isolated and his direct contacts are subjected to quarantine.
Pooten ordered the temporary closure of COVID-19 Monitoring Hubs in Pegeo, Pagay-eo, and Taccong on Monday, August 10 for disinfection.
”Consequently, no person will be allowed entry and exit to and from the municipality for further contact tracing purposes, ” he said.
