Australia is currently experiencing one of its worst bushfire seasons in memory.
While south-east Australia is used to such an event every December to March, the 2019-2020 season has affected it more than ever before since August.
The series of wildfires have burned an estimated 6.3 million hectares destroyed over 2,500 buildings and killed 25 people. Recent reports say that almost half a billion animals have been impacted by the fires. The event has been one of the biggest environmental concerns of 2019, alongside the burning of the Amazon.
Since the fire started, reinforcements were called to assist in fighting the fire. Moreso, multiple organizations and personalities have pledged support and donations for those affected by the fire.
