Another gold added to the Philippines in SEA Games 2019
Filipina weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz reigned the women's weightlifting event in the ongoing weightlifting competition of the 2019 Southeast Asian Games at the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex-Ninoy Aquino Stadium in Malate, Manila.
Today’s victory in the competition was her very first gold medal in the SEA Games.

Diaz finished her third attempt with 120kgs in the 55 kg division of weightlifting.
One of her closest rival is Vietnam's Nguyin Thi Thuy who bagged the silver medals with a 115kg finish in the clean and jerk and Indonesia's Juliana Klarissa bagged the bronze medals in the competition.
Malaysia's Engelbert Elly Cascandra grabbed fourth place lifting 92kgs in the clean and jerk, while Laos’ Maiyia Vue placed fifth lifting a 75 in the clean and jerk.
